Hi Guys,
This is Swati Gupta here. I hope you are enjoying this festive season.
Today I have 2 Christmas ornaments and 1 tag tutorial for you.
For the Ornaments, we are using an Alcohol ink medium and Mudra stamps.
Ornament 1:
Have you ever stamper or heat embossed on an Acrylic sheet?? If not this is a fun tutorial to try this technique.
- Take any Acrylic surface. I am using Circle shape transparent Acrylic surface. here.
- Drill a hole on it to make space to thread your twine to hang the ornament.
- Use any brand of Alcohol inks and make patterns. Here I have used the closest colors to Red and Green and made an abstract pattern using Alcohol inks.
- Now take the Mudra stamp set Believe in Christmas 3×2 and stamp it using some Versamark Embossing ink for HEat embossing.
- Now pour white embossing powder on top of the stamped image and set it with a heat gun.
- Post that clean the upper area with some tissue.
- Use a strong twine to tie the ornament to a tree and our ornament is done here.
Ornament 2:
- Take any Acrylic surface. I am using Circle shape transparent Acrylic surface. here.
- Drill a hole on it to make space to thread your twine to hang the ornament.
- Use any brand of Alcohol inks and paint the scene as you want. I have used a blue color to represent the sky and White ink to represent snow. Let it dry completely.
- Then I stamped the Gingerbread house from Mudra Stamps – Christmas Cookies 4×4 on a watercolor paper and colored it using Watercolor markers.
- Then I Fussy cut the image. and stuck it using some strong glue on the ornament.
- Then I used the sentiment from the same sentiment and stamped it using some permanent ink.
- Use a strong twine to tie the ornament to a tree and our ornament is done here.
Tag:
- On white cardstock I used Mudra Stencil – Snowflake diamond pattern 6×6 and ink blended a pink shade to make the pattern.
- Then I used a scalloped frame die and die cut the frame as well as the insert.
- Then I stamped the image of the line of critters from the Mudra Stamps – Christmas Critter 4×4 and colored only the elephant.
- Then I fussy cut the elephant image.
- Now I took the Mudra stamp set Believe in Christmas 3×2 and stamped it using some Versamark Embossing ink for Heat embossing.
- Now pour Green embossing powder on top of the stamped image and set it with a heat gun.
- Then I cut a white cardstock of the same size as the die-cut frame and stuck all the pieces together as shown in the pic below.
- Use twine for the tag and our tag is completed.
Do try these techniques and share them with us.
