by Sindhu Manokaran

Hello Crafty friends,

Hope all doing great and getting ready for upcoming festivals.I am Sindhu from Colorsofcraft.Today I am sharing two fun fold Diwali cards using new Diwali release products.

Card 1 – Bridge card

– I started with stamping  the images from Mudra – Cute character on to a watercolor  paper  and colored using  zig  markers.

– The images are then hand cut and kept ready.

– For the card base ,I took 8″ * 5.5 ” cardstock and scored at 1.25″ ,2.5″,5.5″ and 6.75″.

-For the background ,I masked Mudra Stencil Mandala-4  using  Mudra stencil Label shape -A2 and applied Mudra Mai Fushsia pink and Lemon Yellow Dye ink on a cardstock which measures  4.25″ * 3″.

– I stamped the sentiment from Mudra Diwali sentiment 2020 and adhered to the middle panel of the card base.

– On the side panels, I  stamped the mini mandala images from Mudra – Mini Diya Swrils  using Mudra Mai Fushsia pink and Lemon Yellow Dye ink .

– For assembling the card , I took 5.5″ * 0.25″ strip of cardstock and adhered it to  the first  and last panel only.

– I added stamped character images on the sides and  few stamped  and colored diyas from Mudra elegant stamp set.

– I adhered 4.25″*3″ top folding card on the back of the middle  panel for writing personal  message.

– Finished it off with some Mudra Couture  Gold sequins.

– The finished card size is  4.25″ * 5.5 ” and it perfectly fits  into the Paperum French rose envelope.

Card 2 – Trifold  see-thru shaker card

– I started off  by stamping  the images from Mudra – Cute character on to a watercolor  paper  and colored using  zig  markers.

– The images are then hand cut and kept ready.

-For the card base I used two A2 size cards and adhered them together to create trifold card.

– For the see thru shaker, I cut a rectangle on the front card leaving quarter inch on all sides and adhere aceteate on the top of this frame.

– Similarly  I created another frame of same size and adhered acetate on the back. I added Mudra Couture  Sugar plum mix  sequins and adhered both frames using foam tape.

– For the inside , I created a stenciled  background  using Mudra Mandala-5 stencil and Mudra Mai Ultra violet,Lilac  and Flamingo pink.

-Then I added the stamped images.

-I stamped sentiment from Mudra Diwali sentiment 2020 on a piece of cardstock  and adhered.

Hope you get some inspiration from my cards for this month Mudra Challenge – 36.Do participate to win some amazing prizes.
