Shagun Envelopes & Gift Boxes from scratch

by Uma Didwania

Hey Crafty Folks!

Happy Friday and Happy Ganesh Puja for tomorrow.

I’m Uma from Flawless Creation with some crafty inspiration for you. Our this month challenge theme is “Think India”.  Thing which comes in my mind first when I thought about India is it’s  religion, culture and festivals.  Here in India we celebrate lots of festivals with different rituls but one similar thing in all is giving gift. We love sending gift to our family,  friends, relatives,  loved ones, no matter what the occasion is. So, keeping this in my mind I created envelopes and gift boxes today.

1st Envelope

For this envelope, first I created an envelope using off white cardstock. Ready envelope measures 3.25″×7″.

Then take a piece of cardstock and create a pattern using Quaterfoil stencil.  First apply ink and then nuvo gold mousse using brush.

Created some flowers and leaves using Gardenia die. Stick some die cuts and glue flowers using hot melted glue.

Heat emboss chipzeb sentiment and stick that using clear dry glue.

2nd Envelope

In this envelope, I did stenciling on belly band. Heat embossed chipzeb using gold embossing powder and stuck as shown in the picture.

3rd envelope

Here is the third envelope , in this I cut a piece of masking sheet and stick on cardstock to keep that space plain for text or sentiment and then did stenciling.  I kept it simple because some times we need such kind of simple envelopes. After finishing envelope stuck the sentiment .

1st Box

In this , first created a box using cardstock in desired size. Again I did stenciling on belly band with same inks and gold mousse. Added  flowers and some chipzeb to embellish it.

2nd Box

For this box, I did stenciling on the lid and kept it simple. Glued a circle die cut on lid. Heat embossed the chipzeb using gold embossing powder and glued it as shown in the picture.

By this post, I want to show you how beautifully you can create various things using very less products. You can simply create your own backgrrounds using stamps and stencils.

I hope I’m able to inspire you. Don’t forget to participate in our this month challenge.  You can get all details here.

That’s all for today.

Thank you so much for stopping by today!! I’ll be back soon with more inspirations.
